Riley at 28 Weeks

Went to the doctor today and Riley cooperated so they were able to do several 3D pictures of him. Thought i'd share them with you. He sucked on his arm for the most part.

And the Baby Anxiety Beings……..

As I think about how much I still have to accomplish before the birth of our first child, I also think about how much fun it will be to prepare for the new arrival. Part of it seems to be a little overwhelming but I’m sure if I can just sit back and relax and do a few things at a time, it will be a more enjoyable experience.

I was 7 months pregnant on Tuesday, May 18, and I haven’t even started on the nursery. Guess I’m procrastinating. And I’m sure I’ll be panicking before long. Nothing like a little panic to get things rolling. Oddly enough, I’m really looking forward to putting the baby furniture and things together. Okay, so I have a little more room to look forward to it than Randy does since I won’t be doing most of it. But I can see it now….all of the weird confused looks from my husband when he can’t find the right piece. Or the look on my own face when there are extra screws not used. I wonder how many men my husband will con into helping him and how long it will take them. If it were not for the explicative’s coming from my husband’s mouth, it might be a rather funny activity to video. But the pride on my husband’s face once he accomplishes putting that piece of furniture or toy together will be priceless. I’ll have to do the usual bragging and complimenting him on his wisdom and handiness. And how great a job he did even if I am worrying about the extra screws not used.

Hello 3rd Trimester!!

28 Week Statistics:
141.8 lbs (21.8lb total weight gain)
37" Bust
37" Waist (stomach)
40.5" Hips

Today, May 18, is the beginning of my 3rd Trimester. Which is also 28 weeks or 7 months. Only 12 weeks to go!

28 weeks into pregnancy and i have not acquired many of the normal symptoms that come with pregnancy. But i can add a few symptoms that i have acquired since my last statistics blog. I noticed swollen ankles for the first time on April 30 while camping out with friends. I found that i have to be careful wearing ankle socks because they seem to cut off my circulation causing my ankles to swell more. I'm also having frequent nose bleeds which i haven't found many people with this problem except online. But i'll take that over morning sickness any time. And i'm also having heart burn. I've never had heart burn so Randy had to tell me what it was. Very annoying little symptom. Of course i have the continuous growing belly and weight gain. Luckily my back pain has eased up though.

Emotionally, up till now i've only had one major crying episodes and 1 demonic episode. haha  Even my husband says I haven't been bad....better than he expected. Perhaps we were expecting the worst? Or maybe we're being premature since i've still got 12 very hot weeks to go.

We can't wait for Riley to make his debut!

Cankles!!

Well, i have to admit that i've done pretty dang good with this pregnancy. Not many symptoms to complain about. But i noticed a little swelling in my ankles when i went camping on April 30 (the end of my 25th week/6.5 months). And today, after finally having sat down to rest, i noticed that i have CANKLES! My right ankle isn't that bad but my left ankle looks huge! I'm not eating any extra salt, i sit all day, seldom in the heat so i'm not real sure why they are swelling. Just perks of the extra weight i'm carrying around i guess. I elevate my feet at home but there might be a trick to doing it at work.....guess we'll see tomorrow.
