My poor baby

Two issues with my little man. Bless his heart.

Took him to the Dr. today for his reflux. Dr. asked if anybody in our family had it. Me and the doc always blame the inlaws so i blamed my MIL since she has all kinds of issues. Come to find out she DOES have reflux but so does my daddy. And my hubby does a little too. Go figure. Anyway, he gave us some capsules to take (break open, mix w/ formula and put in suringe - Riley's not going to like that).


Riley's also been sneezing & coughing some lately. I noticed this morning he was wheezing and just looked sick in the eyes. Mother's intuition. Dr. told me my God given instincts were right. He's got bronchialitus (a viral infection in the lungs). It's deeper in the lungs than bronchitis. He gave him a breathing treatment. And he's got to do something similar at home for a little while.
 
Please pray for a quick healing for my little man.

My baby is growing up so fast...It's just not right! Taking pictures of a baby is so HARD especially if you want to get them smiling. But persistence pays off. Of course i was so concerned about getting him to smile that i failed to look at his hair! :)  Love my little man though!

My baby has such a big forehead! I guess he gets that from ME. Is he going to get all my BAD traits and none of the good?? He even has a lazy eye. Well, what i call a lazy eye. One eye is smaller than the other...i have one too. But he also has my eye color...and that's a good thing. But...it may not last...we'll see. Other than that, he looks very much like his dad. I need to find our baby pictures to compare.

Stretch Marks?? Seriously??

Nobody wants them but 75%-90% of pregnant women get them. They are caused by genetics or by gaining too much weight or too much weight at one time. Some call them badges of honor or badges of motherhood. I call them ugly. Yes, i'm talking about the dreaded......stretch mark. Also known as scarring on the skin.

I noticed when i got out of the shower this morning that i had some squiggly purple lines on my butt. I wasn't sure if they were stretch marks or indentions from something i sat on (was hoping the latter). I decided to look again later. Well, several hours later, they are still there. UGH! And i thought i was going to get away with no stretch marks...instead i get them AFTER my skin is almost back to normal. Go figure. Luckily, they are in a place that stays covered. I will be checking myself out further though and hoping for the best. Some swear by different lotions and creams that prevent stretch marks. I even used the stuff myself....just in case they do work.....but i guess i should've been putting it on my butt. I guess i'm in the club now.....i'll call them my badges of motherhood all the while trying out the creams that promise to lighten them.

Randy actually took a picture of me and the baby. I was actually in front of the camera instead of behind it....very unusual. :)  I guess my reading put Riley to sleep. The noticeably dark circles under my eyes are signs of lack of sleep. Should've tried to erase those before posting but....no need in trying to hide the truth.

My weight

I've lost 3 more pounds this week. YAY! I think that's 29 pounds total since i've had Riley (a month).
